Margygr - Old Norse for mermaid. The word translates to 'Sea Spirit' or 'Sea Giantess'
The 'Margygr' are sometimes seen as malevolent and violent, other times exceedingly beautiful and helpful — but always commanding a sense of reverence, awe, and in many cases outright worship by those that behold them.
The Margygr Ring signifies the self worth and ability to trust our intuition and commanding your boundaries. Like the Margygr we have the ability to be both beautiful and helpful but also speak our truth and not be afraid of what others may think or making others uncomfortable. Recently I have been very invested in listening to my intuition about certain people, circumstances and events and trusting myself to speak up without embarrassment or feeling bad. A lot of the time that intuition that I have ignored in the past has proven to be right which is a powerful tool to listen to.
