Hello, I'm Alice, the founder of Dalr Jewellery and I believe that to become the best version of ourselves we must play and find joy and silly moments in our everyday lives. I create because I have to, and I find my favourite designs come about when I'm playing and not trying too hard.

I was born in a Dalr in Yorkshire. Dalr is the old word for Dale, originating from the Norse language. Many Viking settlers lived amongst the Dalr's I grew up around and you can see place names and ancient sites named in old Norse language.

I am fascinated with Ancient Jewellery which I like to reflect in my work, making pieces timeless, unique and special, with a focus on looking hand crafted and built to last. I can imagine my pieces in a museum, with a mysterious story to tell.

I started Dalr Jewellery in 2022 by attending a workshop in Cornwall, and from then I invested in all the tools I needed and continued to self teach myself the craft of Jewellery making.

I hope you enjoy what I create here and that each Jewellery piece that makes it's way out to you, creates it's own unique stories to tell
