About Ali

Hey, I'm Ali and I am the designer and creator behind Dalr Jewellery.

I grew up in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales with a love for the outdoors and now I live in a Tiny Home near a seaside town on the South Coast of Cornwall.

I spent 7 years making and selling Macrame Jewellery in Falmouth high street and in March 2022 last year I decided to switch to making long lasting 100% Recycled Silver Jewellery.

I decided I wanted to finally make the transition to work with Recycled Silver and make the Torc inspired necklace that I designed a few years ago, so I booked myself onto a Silversmithing lesson. I had such a fantastic time and knew that it was right that I finally stuck my hand in the piggy bank and set up my own workshop space at home.

Since then it has been an incredible journey where I have started to experiment with different designs, found so much inspiration from studying mythology books, visiting the Gustav Klimt paintings in Vienna, and the beautiful landscape and powerful waves of the North Cornwall coastline.

I am now starting to look more accutely into my surroundings and the fascinating formations of the rocks and rock pools that inspires my work when I hike the coastal paths of Cornwall.

I grew up with such a detirmined mind to create, design, and make, and I am now so grateful that after having an injury which put me out of work, I have had the needed time to reflect and focus on what is important to me and be able to put all of my energy into starting this lovely shop.

It means so much to have you all following me on this journey and supporting my small business. I hope I can expand to doing markets and get to meet you all and more people. There is nothing quiet like selling something I have made. It brings me so much joy.

Tiny Home

The best decision my partner and I made to help me grow Dalr Jewellery was to downsize our living space and costs and move into a Tiny Home in Cornwall.

We live very close to nature on a farm with many fields to roam in. We are a 10 minute drive from stunning coastline where I get a lot of inspiration from the rocks and the sea.

Living in a Tiny Home has also enabled me the time to begin Hiking the South West Coastal Path.
