Jewellery Care

Here at Dalr Jewellery, each piece is made unique and precious, this is why we recommend to care for them in ways to help extend their life for many years to come.

  • Most of our Dalr Jewellery pieces are made with 100% Recycled Sterling Silver 925. from a UK company. This is high quality Silver, however all Silver requires attention and love to keep it looking fresh for as long as possible.

  • Wear

The more you wear your Silver Dalr Jewellery the better it is looked after. The natural oils in your skin helps to prevent tarnish and keep your Silver pieces looking shinier than ever.

  • Cleaning

We recommend using a microfibre Jewellery cleaning cloth. This cloth is included in your Dalr orders. If you keep the cloth clean inside a sealed container then every couple of months give your piece a rub for about 5 minutes, or longer if you choose, it will look shiny and new.

  • DIY Cleaning potion

Using 2 parts water and 1 part of Baking Soda to make a paste. Rub the paste onto your jewellery in a circular motion with an old tooth brush. Then rinse off with warm water and pat dry.

  • The new Dalr Jewellery collection is now available to be cast in Yellow Bronze. Yellow Bronze is a nickel free metal composed of Copper, Zinc and Tin. Each piece is uniquely sculpted using Lost wax casting method and then cast into solid bronze.

  • Bronze durability

Bronze is a perfect affordable alternative to Gold. Yellow Bronze in particular holds a resemblance to 9ct Gold.

Each piece of our Bronze Jewellery is solid Bronze which hasn't been plated, as even Gold plating will wear off eventually, but Bronze is solid and very long lasting.

  • Bronze History

The earliest craft of metal Jewellery comes from the Bronze age around 5,000 years ago. You can visit ancient artifacts of Bronze Jewellery in museums that are still looking stunning, so Bronze if looked after properly can last a lifetime and be passed down to future generations.

  • Looking after Bronze

Certain skin types can react with Bronze and leave a slight Green patina on the skin as it can sometimes react with the acid levels of our pH. It is harmless and can be easily washed away with soap and water. It is not a reflection of the quality of solid bronze, it is just the nature and all depends on individual body chemistry. If you do find this happens to you and it bothers you, we recommend adding a thin layer of clear nail varnish to the part of the bronze that touches your skin to help.

Alternatively if this doesn't sound right for you, there is the option of ordering in Silver or Gold instead.

  • Cleaning Bronze

The best way to clean your Bronze Jewellery is by using the microfibre cloth that is provided with your order. I recommend with Bronze that you add cleaning it to your self care routine, so every couple of weeks when you're having some self pamper time, bring the cleaning cloth out and create a ritual of cleaning your piece to bring it back to a beautiful shine.

Jewellery Box

Dalr Jewellery is best looked after in a Jewellery box to stop moisture getting to your Jewellery and tarnishing quicker.

If you don't have a Jewellery box at home, not to worry as every item of Dalr Jewellery comes in it's very own smart Dalr Jewellery box.
